What
HR's Are Saying…
We had a
staff meeting and placed me on the Agenda to talk about our great
staff. Then, I talked about how we strived to provide tools and
resources to assist our group in providing their very best on the
job. This book was no different. I read the inside cover and
everyone was just "beaming" when I finished. We all clapped
and each collected our book upon leaving the meeting. People emailed me and
appreciated the fact that not only did we care enough to do this for them,
but personalizing it made a difference too. Staffs have it at their desks
and are encouraged to read it at any opportunity. I do believe that
with the humorous approach, it is not only entertaining but informative.
Yes, it did have a positive impact. It had an impact right from when
it was distributed as a resource. It has raised awareness of the
importance of how the organization views positive relationships with each
other as well as external stakeholders. And, I think it has helped
individuals look at these relational issues from a different perspective.
We purchased one for each staff and are providing to new staff during
orientation. I think it will still continue to be a part of our orientation
program for years to come.
Jana Erichson, CHRP,
HR Manager, Red Deer County
I really like the book. I
think that your book is a very good primer and has just enough content to
engage them, but not overwhelm them.
Michael J. Dote, Training and Development Manager,
ATT Mobile
My impression of the
book is that it should be must reading for every employee.
Vera Williams, Sr. HR Manager,
Eagle Global Logistics, 5000
employees
LOVE IT. As a Human Resources Trainer I think it is very well put
together. I love the binding and the labeled tabs,
it makes it so easy to find what you're looking for. Thanks for
putting this together.
Drema Miller, HR Training

We are delighted with your book and will be placing an order within the
next few weeks. You've written an excellent resource for us!
Janis Dillard, HR Manager,

Creek
I LOVE the book. I have shared what I've learned with people not only
at work, but at home.
Lynn F. Flynn, SPHR, Director of
HR,
Rhode Island Medical Imaging
It's Entertaining, has good information and flows
nicely
Sheryl Lester, HR Division Manager,
Allstate Insurance
I hardly could put it down when I received it.
Oksana Lukish, HR Manager,
Ambassador Cruise Lines
I LOVE it! I love the
fact that it is positive, funny, and relevant. Once I saw the law of
attraction on page 13, you had me hooked. Thank you very much for writing
such an amazing book; it is an inspiration to have such a positive tool to
use in the workplace and in the rest of life! Having such a book available
for employees to read is a positive impact because it offers life lessons
that people may lose sight of in their busy work day and lives. I would
definitely recommend that this book be used for any company. In this time
of labor shortages, I think it is a great employee retention strategy
because it shows your employees that their well being is truly important to
the employer.
Janet Nielsen, Training
Coordinator,
Thrifty Foods, 3,000 Employees
I think this is an
excellent book and would like to see it used across the entire organization
of FRHG's 2000 employees. The life cycle of this material makes it a good
long term reference covering the multiplicity of issues we routinely see
here.
Andy Mesquit, Direct of HR,
Fremont Rideau Health Group
I have so enjoyed the
“How to be a Great Employee”
Debbie Parnell, HR Specialist,
American Airlines Federal Credit
Union
I find the deeper I
delve into How to be a Great Employee the more I can understand how to
relate to my front line employees with humour and tact. Many of
the topics and illustrations are helpful in bringing light to the abyss of
everyday business. I have fun reading How to be a Great Employee and
employees in all different realms of business will too. How to be a Great
Employee has an exceptional grasp of the mindset that frontline employees
carry. I am enjoying the reading and exercises as well. The
cartoons are a great comic relief, which is often overlooked in the office.
Jesse Cheetham, B.Mgt HR,
Peavey Mart, 28 stores
I love the book!
It will be a valuable tool for our company.
Racine Martin, HR, Basic
Resources
I too have read and
LOVED the book. I think it will be a great tool to all employees but
especially those that are just starting out in the workforce. When
reviewing this book, I was reminded of many ways to be that great employee
and not to get "caught up" in some of the issues. I think
it'll give many readers great satisfaction.
Michelle Kimber, HR, AltaGenetics,
Worlds largest genetics company
As far as I am concerned, I think everyone should read it.
Carmen Simcoe, HR,
Finning Caterpillar, 60 locations
It is humorous and pertinent.
Heather Siemens, HR, (Capital
Health),
18,000 employees, 13 Hospitals
We can see it will fit well with what we are doing with our Authority
Academy.
Mark Olson, VP of HR,
Las Vegas Convention Center
I do have to tell you, though, that I think your books are
FANTASTIC!!! I have so enjoyed reading them and have learned a lot; a
lot about myself and others. It has amazed me throughout the books
what I now can see. You have opened my eyes.
